Every year, we would see the signs and see all of the campers, people, and traffic and wonder what in the world they were doing. Seahawk, I live about 15 minutes from Coopers Lake. Not sure if Barchan was there Sunday, I can't remember who was jousting that day. It's difficult to explain to people the difference between that and a public festival. Pennsic is just down the highway from me. But my new love really enjoys the scene and we plan to at least get ourselves outfitted for next year, at least for the ren fairs. My then-fiancee and I planned to get more involved in it, but she's gone and, well. We may day trip the Maryland Faire next month. I wonder if my good friend Barchan the Jouster was up there at the faire? He was the one that I rode in the parades with. We would like to camp again when the boys are a little older. She was the clanne Chief and Jonathan was the War Chief. My husband and SIL started this group 22 years ago.
Half of our Celtic Clanne (that's Clanne Preachain) are at the Pennsic War in New Castle PA right now. There are some real characters there.lol.
